I've been a little preoccupied lately; with the Mississippi River overflowing and all, I've been staying with my parents for a few weeks until things are back to normal. Writing hasn't been on the forefront of my mind, but I will get back to it eventually.

I've been working on a research project and haven't had time to write anything, so no new chapters of Weeping Willows yet. But the Roses Are Blue message board will be merging with the Blue Flame board, so say bye-bye to our board.

Okay, so I haven't been around in quite some time, but I was really frikkin' busy for a good long while. Now I'm back, and I've slightly reformatted the Weeping Willows page. Chapter 6 of Weeping Willows will be released soon. I am working on a number of other writings, though, so updates are still going to be slow. I'm trying to write a novel, but I have such little time that whenever a free moment arrives, Weeping Willows gets pushed to the side so I can work on my novel instead. But I'm hoping there will never be another 3-month hiatus like this again.

Long time, no update. I've been incredibly busy lately and haven't had any time to write. It's college classes that are keeping me swamped, so at the end of the semester I should have more time to work on my writings. 'Til then...well, I'll probably be too busy.

Like the title says, the Blue Flame writers' community site is now up and running....now all we need are members. If a writers' community sounds interesting to you, then please go to Blue Flame and check it out.

I have been incredibly busy lately, and, unfortunately, I have not had time to write anything. But there are some new developments - I am working with 2 other people on a writers' community site called Blue Flame. It's still in the developing stages, but once it's done, I highly recommend checking it out

While I was rummaging through the ever-growing pile of junk that’s taking over my room, I found an old portfolio containing a bunch of essays that I wrote back in high school. I sifted through them and found one that I kind of like, so I put it on this site under “Writings.” The assignment was to write a diary entry for a character from The Crucible by Arthur Miller. The play is based on the Salem Witch Trials that took place in the late 1600s. The character (and real-life person) that I chose to write about is Rebecca Nurse, who was hanged July 19, 1692 at the age of 71.

Sometime this week, I'll put the first part (or chapter) of my TV-show-in-book-form on this site. The series is called Weeping Willows, and the first chapter is completely finished. I'm currently writing the second chapter of the series, but it will take some time. You know how it is - the responsibilities of life eat away at your free time.

Hi! My name is A. Leigh Rose and I'm
an alcoholic an aspiring writer. I plan to use this site to display my writings and hopefully motivate me to write more (because I've been sort of slacking off for the past 3 years). So far, all I have is one short story on this site ("Broken"), but I am currently working on a story that will be somewhat like a TV series in that the chapters will be released one at a time like episodes of a TV show. It's a work in progress and I'm hoping that it turns out well. If it entertains at least one person, then I'll feel that I've succeeded
